How Can Used Plastic Grocery Sacks Help the Homeless?

WHO ARE WE? We are a group of folks who are committed to both recycling and to helping the homeless in the Fort Worth area and around the world. Click HERE to learn more about us.

WHAT DO WE DO? We convert grocery bags into 'plarn' (plastic yarn) that is then used to crochet mats for the homeless. We have partnered with the Salvation Army in the Fort Worth and Arlington area to distribute these mats. Click HERE to find out more about our events and activities

HOW CAN YOU HELP? We depend on volunteers to collect bags and convert them into the plarn that we use to make the mats, and we are always looking for experienced crocheters to help us make the mats. Click HERE to learn more about our various projects how you can get involved by joining us at events or right where you are.

We are a registered 501 ©3 organization. If you would like to donate to our work or sponsor some aspect of this project, let us know. All monies raised go directly to further the work and reach of the organization. Click HERE to donate.
